The Journal of the Argentine Association of Orthopedics and Traumatology (RAAOT) only publishes original articles written by those who declare their authorship and unpublished articles that have not been previously published in any media, either printed or electronic.

In this sense, the authors declare at the time of submitting the manuscript that their manuscript has not been previously published in whole or in part in any other media.

The authors must also declare if they have published other works derived from the same research. In this case, they must declare the similarities and differences to be analyzed by the Editorial Committee, who will ultimately decide if there are faults of self-plagiarism, duplication or fragmentation or if it is possible and advisable to accept them to be examined by the assigned Reviewers.

The RAAOT uses programs and internet tools to detect plagiarism, self-plagiarism, duplication and fragmentation. Systems used: https://plagiarismcheckerx.com/ and http://www.plagius.com/.

Searches are also carried out on the Internet (also in the English version) and in scientific information databases in order to identify the different possibilities of plagiarism.

The processes implemented for the detection of plagiarism are carried out by the editorial management of the journal. Reviewers are also asked to carry out actions in this regard.

If any of these ethical violations are detected, the procedure will be followed in accordance with the guidelines recommended by the Committee of Publication Ethics (COPE) (https://publicationethics.org) and the Council of Science Editors (CSE) (https://www.councilscienceeditors.org).
